The Bespoke Hotel Company Ltd

Our long standing client Bespoke Hotels approached us to re-brand their whole online presence, we took to the challenge like fish to water.

The Bespoke project touched many of our skill sets in some way due to the overall size and complexity of the solution required. The website brief was to redevelop their central corporate site into a portal giving access to several features including:

• Hotel and company news
• Hotel and company-wide events
• Hotel and company-wide offers
• Hotel profiles, including maps and pricing information
• Integration with booking systems
• Newsletter signups (Cybamaila Integration)
• Property locator tool

Individual hotel properties needed to be able to update information (information, news, offers etc) regarding their own hotels. Our solution to this was a bespoke (no pun intended) content management system that controlled many aspects of the site. The administration area, as it was called, needed to control not only "conventional" content (the hotel information pages) but also other elements such as the image rotation order for each hotel or position of a hotel on the property locator. The latter was performed by geocoding postcal codes into real-world co-ordinates using a thrid party service.

Where possible the administration area was made as usuable as possible using, for example, javascript to enable dragging and dropping of images to construct "image sets" for the image banners on the home page and on the hotel pages.

The site involved a complete range of skills and technologies including:

• Booking System Integration
• Content Management
• Dynamic XML generation

Despite a few technical obstacles the site was completed as per the original specification.
